Simon Ross

Director

Writer / Director of upcoming psychological thriller The Void, Simon made his feature debut with The Portrait, which premiered at Raindance and was nominated best UK Film. Distributed in the UK by Altitude Films and internationally by Saban Films, The Portrait was praised for an unnerving atmosphere and great performances, gaining a critics Rotten Tomatoes score of 86%.

Simon’s background is as a commercials director and an editor, with his work in commercials and shorts receiving many awards.

He has an MA in Politics from the University of Edinburgh, and an MA in Film & TV Production from the University of Bristol.
